Chemical soil systems

A treated zone is established in the soil around and beneath the home using products like Termidor, which termites cannot detect. Foraging termites pass through it and transfer the effect through the colony — protection that works on the colony, not just the individuals that touched the zone. This is the workhorse for established homes, and Rapidkil’s chemical system installations carry up to a 60-month free service period, kept active by completing the annual termite inspection with us each year. Systems are quoted to the property, because perimeter length, soil type and construction genuinely change the work.

Baiting and monitoring systems

Stations placed around the perimeter — Trelona is our system of choice — intercept foraging termites, which take the bait back and eliminate the colony at its source. Baiting suits homes where a full chemical treated zone is impractical, and doubles as ongoing monitoring: the stations are checked on a schedule, so new activity is caught between annual inspections rather than after damage.

Physical barriers

Installed at construction, systems like Kordon build a physical termite barrier into the structure itself — protection that does not deplete, designed into new builds and major renovations rather than retrofitted.

Reticulation systems

A network of underground pipes — TermX — installed at construction allows the chemical treated zone to be replenished from the surface for the life of the home, without re-excavating. If your home already has one, replenishment is far simpler than starting from scratch.
